I love my job as Principal at Crocker Highlands! We have such a supportive school community and an incredibly talented and dedicated staff. I feel so fortunate to be here.
Although I was raised outside of Los Angeles, the East Bay has been my home for over 30 years. After getting my B.A. in Psychology and Multiple Subjects (Elementary) Teaching Credential at Cal, I taught for 23 years. I spent the most recent 17 years teaching middle school in Piedmont. Prior to that, I taught middle school for two years in Brentwood, loved one amazing year teaching 5th grade at Punahou in Hawaii and started my career with three years as a first grade teacher in Walnut Creek. I also spent a year supervising student teachers from St. Mary’s College.
In 2012, I received my Administrative Credential, and in 2013, I earned a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Cal State East Bay. Two months later, I was lucky enough to land at Crocker as Principal. I am now in my third year here and couldn’t be happier.
My husband and I will be adjusting to our new lives as empty-nesters this fall. Starting in September, both of our daughters will be off to college. It’s a good thing we adopted a puppy a little over a year ago!
