Dear Crocker Highlands Families,
I am writing with news to share with you – the families and community of Crocker Highlands…
Last week I was offered a principal position in the Berkeley Unified School District and have decided to accept it. As you can imagine, it has been a very emotional process for me in making this decision, but in the end, I feel that this is the right decision in my professional career.
I want to thank each and every one of you for all your support, and for entrusting me with your children for the past four years. I am honored and feel so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to be part of the Crocker Community. I have so many wonderful memories of my time at Crocker and I am sad to say goodbye. During my four years here, I have fostered relationships with many of you and I will cherish the memories and friendships I’ve made during my time. Crocker Highlands has been a very special place for me and I will miss everyone.
Know that my dedication to my position as your principal will continue as we transition to new leadership at Crocker throughout the summer. Sondra Aguilera, our school’s Regional Executive Officer, will be working with the staff and the community to find a new principal to lead Crocker Highlands.
Although it’s hard to say goodbye to the parents and adults, the hardest part of leaving is saying goodbye to the children. I have grown so attached to them over the years. I have loved watching them grow up into amazing young people. Please give them a hug for me and let them know how they touched my heart and life. I treasure my memories of them all.
Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation as I enter into a new learning experience of my own.
